- Watch local news broadcasts (list of stations below). Whether you have cable TV or not, it is best to watch local stations for emergency information.
- Listen to local radio stations or your NOAA Weather Radio (make sure you have a hand-cranked or battery powered radio in case of a power outage)
- Be aware that emergency personnel may go door to door warning of disaster
- Listen for Emergency Warning Sirens
